Not very successful...

Hi, there!

So our Kickstarter launch did NOT do well. It was bound to happen, though. I knew it wouldn't when I launched it - not enough marketing.

While that was very disappointing and, honestly, put me in a pretty discouraged mood after how hard I was working to make sure I did what I could on my end (aside from paying for marketing, which should have been #1, but, hey, not enough funding for it), I am back to working and done feeling sorry for myself! I am more determined than ever to get these backpacks made and sent out to those who want them.

SO! The following is my plan for the next few months:

  1. I have a Plan B and C for funding that I put together in case this Kickstarter launch inevitably failed. Using this funding, I WAS going to pay for marketing first-thing, BUT I think I will put the order in for the backpacks so I will have a final product to market and have them ready to send to you. 😉

  2. I will be posting a lot more about the design - different functions of the backpack, places to take it, things to put in it, as well as more travel-related tips and things on my Facebook Kompis Gear business page, Instagram and Tik Tok. If there is anything specific you’d like me to post about, don’t hesitate to ask! I haven't gotten into Twitter or Pinterest or anything else for that matter, but if you have suggestions, or want to show me how the heck to use them, I'm all for learning - AFTER I've gotten the hang of IG and FB 😛

  3. If you haven't noticed already, I am a travel agent, and have been struggling with keeping up with posting on my main pages and Kompis Gear pages, so I have combined Gear and Travels together. If you follow me on IG, FB, or TT, you'll see travel-related posts on the Gear pages, as well as I might share some of both on my main family and friend pages. To make it easier on me, I'll be making whatever videos/posts/stories I want and posting them wherever, so you may see them twice, but the ones on the original Kompis Gear pages will all be travel-related.

  4. I haven't been keeping those of you that signed up on the website updated very often. I will be changing that. I want to be posting blog updates like this once a week, as well as updating product info on the main home page.

  5. I want to have these out and to you by the end of the year. That is my goal. Fingers crossed that it happens!

If you are interested in travel-related emails - current deals, offers, updates, tips, please send me a message back and I will put you on an email list to receive them as I post them!

You can join our Facebook group Adventurers for all travel-related posts and games. I try to post at least once a day there. Feel free to post your own adventures, as well!

I also update the Travels page on KompisGear.com every Monday with a travel deal of the week, if you're interested in those.

Thank you so much for following me in my journey through the beginning of our Kompis Gear and now Travels journey! I am so grateful to you!

Christine
